I owned every second that this world could give.
I saw so many places, the things that I did.
With every broken bone, I swear I lived.
My little sister is currently in Japan. I’m a little jealous because of all the fantastic food I’m sure she’s eating. Japan is one of my favourite countries to visit. My struggle with going back is that there are still so many parts of the world I haven’t visited yet.
Japan has such a fascinating culture, both traditional and modern. Parts of it has been cherrypicked and commercialised but the food is so delicious that I’m grateful that Japan opened up their country. From the bustling intersection of Shinjuku to the Harajuku girls to the electronic shops of Akihabara to the alleys with hidden ramen stores. At every turn all my senses were stimulated. Mostly by the sights and sounds but there was no lack of things to do or experience. It is this richness of stimulus which appeals to my goldfish-like attention span.
