There’s been a lot of extreme views about American Sniper. From the ones who view him as a patriotic war hero to a cold blooded killer. From the ones who believe that the movie glamourises and defends the war to those who believe that this is a true representation of war. And then there is the controversy of the plastic doll. Before I saw the movie I had read a range of the reviews. The way I saw it, the movie is based on a book written by a guy who views himself as a patriot and he believed that every person he killed kept Americans safe. He believed in the war. What is represented in the movie is his view of himself and the war. To judge it from a different point of view would be unfair.
