The Jazz at Lincoln Center All Stars is performing at After Midnight, and they were definitely worth watching. Who doesn’t love a big band? Toni Braxton was a little underwhelming, but the dance performances were amazing. Makes me wish I was a tap dancer, which is probably what I thought the first time I watched Shirley Temple. I wish it had been a little longer as well.
Found the saddest looking tapas bar – Sangria 46, but the Raspberry Limoncello sangria was pretty tasty. But by the time we left I was very hungry and I had been craving chicken over rice for a while now so after a drink I felt I had the right to indulge all the way. Halal Guys, corner of 53rd St and 6th Ave is where it’s at. Make sure they give you garlic and hot sauce though, because otherwise it’s kind of a sad meal. Still it’s totally worth the wait.
