it’s a wow kind of moment

For my 29th birthday I booked myself a snorkeling adventure which involved snorkeling in a natural sinkhole (cenote), an underground cave and a reef. I met some Germans on this trip who had snorkeled the Great Barrier Reef. It was kind of embarrassing to have to admit that I had never been. While I still haven’t mastered the art of snorkeling since I seem to be a floating machine it was incredible to watch a school of sardines swimming through the ocean, creating paths underwater. It was marvelous and I don’t know how they instinctively know which way to swim, but I’m not a sardine. One of the first trips I plan to take when I get back to Sydney is one that will take me snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef.
