when it all ends

The US Open will start on Monday but this weekend the courts were open for a “kids day”. There was entertainment for the children in the main arena, but on the side courts the players were practicing. It was amazing to see the players up that close, when the only tickets I’ve been able to afford have been up in the nosebleed section. Apart from just sitting in the front row, I was amazed to recognise Alicia Molik, who will be stepping into the coaching role since Sam Stosur broke up with her coach just before the games. I think it’s amazing to when you’re no longer playing the game to still love it enough to still be involved in any way possible. It makes me wonder about where I will be when things come to an end.
