The Manhattan skyline is quite distinctive, and sometimes you can see an old ink drawing and still recognise the city.
Tonight was the Museum Mile Festival, so part of Central park East was closed off to cars and walkers were allowed to roam the streets as most of the museums along the mile were open to the public for free. The line to the Guggenheim was a lot longer than expected, and since the clouds grew ominous we decided to duck into the Met which had no lines. On account of it usually having a basically free admission anyway. But it did mean that some of the exhibits at the Met were closed off. This was kind of a shame, but this didn’t stop us from enjoying our Shake Shack burgers.
