I hope she’ll be a fool—that’s the best thing a girl can be in this world, a beautiful little fool.
NYC is the city that never sleeps, bright lights and big dreams. And The Great Gatsby represents all of that indulgence and idealism. The reviewers are all giving it two stars. But I think the film was an interesting interpretation of the book. While staying true to the themes and perfectly capturing Jay Gatsby and Daisy Buchanan’s doomed romance, there was a clever use of pop music and sci-fi like cinematography all combined with just the right quotes from the book to make it believable. I definitely would have given it three and a half stars.
