It definitely has a reputation. The kind of place where if someone says “I went to Harvard”, nothing else needs to be said. It wasn’t as intimidating as I thought it would be, probably because it was way too cold for students to be walking around. And the ones that were walking around were busy discussing pot or diets. So I definitely wasn’t intimidated by an overwhelming amount of intelligence.
What gets me how much of a difference the name of a university can make. Nothing that disparate seems to exist in Australia. Going to a university alone sets you apart. Probably because mostly we don’t travel half way across the country to study at another school which is practically the same as the one that takes half an hour to get to.
