the aftermath

Since my mother left I think I’ve cooked for myself maybe once a month (and that is with rounding up). But I enjoy having people over to cook for, makes me a little more motivated to try a different recipe. I made a capsicum risotto (bell pepper risotto actually sounds fancier). I wasn’t quite happy with the risotto grain itself. But the flavours were good. Usually when I eat out there is no cleaning up to be done at all. And when I order takeout there is maybe three things to clean up. So one of the drawbacks of not having a dishwasher is the clean up, especially when you’ve used every pot and pan that you own.
